Exchange your baby cots

I am sure that you have read somewhere about it that countries where communism existed have different societies than the rest of the world. If you take western countries into consideration you will definitely notice the difference. First of all they are more wealthy than ex-communist countries. That is due to the fact that capitalism was there earlier. Additionally they have different mentality. In western countries people are more open, friendly. Let me show you an example proving this. I live in country where communism existed and recently when I was talking with my friends I told them that we can exchange our baby cots because they have a bigger one and they don^t need it. At the same time our cot is perfect for them and that would be the best solution in my example. Still they refused to do that. When I asked why they don^t want to exchange baby cots they couldn^t even answer me. They knew that for some reason it is wrong but they couldn^t explain it to me. I think that this shows how deeply rooted this type of thinking is. People are afraid to interact with others and think that it is wrong somehow. Do you know what I mean by this? Have you experienced it as well?
